Free – visit to the Tropical Gardens

Ideas for a restful, fun stay...

Would you like to go to the Tropical Garden that you see at the rear of your apartment? You can get a drink and sit with your feet dangling in the cool little pool that you see from your window.

This activity is more for adults as they keep it as a quiet area for adults rather than a play area for kiddies.
Although this beautiful serene place is primarily used by the residents of the hotel.

Come Again

Tour Guide

non-residents are welcome when they eat in the fantastic and well-priced restaurants there, or take a drink from the bar. Children are welcome in the garden only when eating with parents in the restaurant.
It is a magical place….especially at night when the palm trees are lit with fairy lights.

Here is your treasure map of how to get there….

As you walk out of the apartment at ground level and turn left along the pavement you will come to the zebra crossing and the first entrance to The Fortina Hotel.

Go inside, immediately as you go through the door you will see the reception, just turn right at the pillar with the sign on it and walk towards the lifts.

Before you get to the lifts you will see a sign for the pool area. you will see a confusing sign as shown here

The sign is trying to tell you to take a few paces right until you get to the glass door of the spa, you will then look left and see some stairs as shown here. At the top of the stairs you will be looking for this

Now you can wonder around and get yourself a drink in the sunken bar inside the pool or dine in the restaurants. If you like a show the Japanese restaurant has an amazing cook that juggles things as he cooks in front of you!

After a lovely time and you want to leave, you will be looking for the door as shown here to find your way out.
When booking a table at the restaurant or drinking at the bar you will be asked your room number, you can say you are a non resident at the hotel and you have come to eat there. That will be fine.

*** May I suggest that if you have children with you, you ask them to be super well behaved and quiet as you walk through the foyer. Although the public can obviously go in to any hotel, you may find it easier to take this approach until you get into the tropical garden area.

These tropical gardens and pool side bar is lit up at night with fairy lights and is truly magical. There are about 5 restaurants that you can choose from there, you will need to book by lunch time to dine there that evening….even better book in advance for the next day.

You can see the restaurants here. http://www.hotelfortina.com/the_terrace

If you prefer to just get a drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings while reading a book, just ask at the bar for a drink and sit wherever you like.
