Every year, since 1947, the people of Norway have given the people of London a Christmas tree. This gift is in gratitude for Britain’s support for Norway during World War II.
Throughout the build-up to Christmas, more than 50 carol groups each sing for an hour beneath the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square to raise funds for voluntary or charitable organisations.
The season gets thoroughly jolly with the sound of Christmas carols in Trafalgar Square during December. An evening of Christmas carols is a surefire way to sprinkle some holiday spirit into the season.
With warming refreshments to be found nearby, all the ingredients are in place for the perfect countdown to Christmas!
