This lot are a hardy bunch but tradition is tradition and members of the Serpentine Swimming Club have been plunging themselves into the Serpentine lake’s icy waters every Christmas Day since 1864.
If you happen to be in London near the end of December you may find many places will be closing their doors, so if you are looking for something to do on Christmas morning head to Hyde Park and the madness that is the Peter Pan Cup.
The race is a 100 yard dash in the chilly waters of the Serpentine River that runs through Hyde Park and over the years has attracted quite a crowd.
It’s a great way to get some fresh air on Christmas morning and you’ll feel like you’ve earned your post-lunch snooze. For more information check the link below.
